NETTIE NITZBERG, principal and talent development guru

Nettie Nitzberg is principal of WOW! transformations, a 17-year old talent development consulting firm that helps businesses optimize the return on their talent investment.

Nettie is a graduate of George Washington University with an M.A. in Education and Human Resource Development. She began her corporate career working as a consultant for Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) in the Change Management Group where Nettie had responsibility for a variety of training design and development projects supporting large system implementations. Client projects included assignments with Marriott Corporation and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia.

Nettie left Accenture to join SkyTel Corporation, a mobile telecommunications start-up. As Manager of Training Programs, and later, Director of Education and Development, she led a team of instructional designers and program facilitators in the design and development of the company's sales training, product marketing, customer service, engineering and technical operations, as well as supported human resource and management development initiatives.

Since launching WOW! transformations in 1994, Nettie has supported clients talent development initiatives in a variety of industries and ranging in size from sole practitioners to Fortune 500 organizations. As a master instructional designer who is a creative, strategic thinker, her projects have helped her clients develop important programs that ensure long-term employee success. She also created and trademarked an end-to-end talent management initiative called beyondboarding™- a strategic approach to employee and organizational growth and development that focuses on maximizing company's investments in their most valuable resources, its talent. Nettie has been published in ASTD's T&D magazine and ASTD Links, writes a weekly blog called WOW! Bytes of Wisdom and contributes to other online publications focusing on talent management and talent development.

Nettie and her family have recently relocated to Boston, MA.  She is reconnecting with old friends and networking with new acquaintances.  Nettie stays busy with her professional and volunteer activities, family - two daughters and husband - as well as her personal endeavors, including: exercising, reading, traveling, and wine tasting which keep her busy.

CINDY MILLER, DIRECTOR of COMMUNICATION STRATEGY

As WOW! transformations' Director of Communication Strategy, Cindy develops and implements WOW!'s communications initiatives through both traditional and social media. She produced WOW's overall communications strategy, and assists with blogging, writing articles and public relations. Cindy also assists in program development for WOW! clients.

Cindy built her communications and management skills as the Metro Editor for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, directing news coverage for the state of Georgia with a staff of more than 100 journalists. She has a master's degree in business administration.

Cindy has supported numerous organizations' communications efforts, including FedEx, Coca-Cola, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgians for Passenger Rail, The Associated Press and the U.S. military newspaper Stars and Stripes. She has worked with small businesses, too, helping business owners create and implement communications strategy. Cindy has also worked with high-profile individuals in the area of reputation management.

Cindy is the current president of the Atlanta Women's Network, an organization dedicated to promoting the role of women in business, and a founding board member of New Media Women Entrepreneurs, an effort supported by the McCormick Foundation that provides funding to women-run initiatives in new media. She is also a member of the Vistage Trusted Advisor Program, a network for professional service providers. The program is part of the worldwide Vistage network and provides the opportunity for members to rise above day-to-day operational issues and learn from other business leaders' experience. Cindy lives in Woodstock, GA, with her husband, and has two children who are students at Kennesaw State University.
