Communication Strategy Ensures Right Audience and Right Message

Client: Medinet Systems

Assignment: Owner and founder Kim Gay asked WOW! transformations to help her focus her business development efforts to ensure she was targeting the right audience and with the right messages.

Strategy Used: WOW! created a Communications Strategy for Medinet Systems that the company will use to guide its communications and business development and beyondboarding™ efforts.

Tactics: WOW! team members Nettie Nitzberg and Cindy Miller led the process, which included:

  • A four-hour facilitated work session with Kim, her co-workers and industry experts. During this session the group reached consensus on goals for communication and key audiences. The group also fully explored each audience in order to better understand it.
  • Production of a Communication Strategy draft document that enhanced the information from the work session and included recommended key messages, targeted messages and tactics.
  • A review session with members of the group to get input on the draft document.
  • Production of the final, 15-page Communications Strategy document that reflects input from the group.

The Results: Using guidance provided in the Communications Strategy document, Medinet Systems now has a new website with content that reflects its key messages and target audiences. Kim also had a guest column published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which reinforces a recommended tactic that she used communications to raise her profile as a subject matter expert.
