Client: Solvay Pharmaceuticals

Assignment: This international pharmaceutical company asked WOW! transformations to help create an onboarding program for new employees that reflects the company's culture and provides a welcoming experience.

Strategy Used: WOW! partnered with Solvay as the company's subject matter expert and Human Resources department, acting as an integral part of the internal team.

Tactics: The Solvay and WOW! transformation team created the content and materials for a half-day workshop and an internal onboarding website. The workshop:

• Introduced employees to all facets of Solvay's U.S. organization and its global parent company
• Educated new hires on the pharmaceutical industry
• Explained important company initiatives that impact individual jobs
• Provided initial planning for personal, professional and career development.

The Results: WOW's expertise helped create a world-class onboarding experience called "Solvay Launch" that engages employees and integrates new hires into the company from their start date. WOW! extended the onboarding experience beyond the initial workshop and internal website to include a peer sponsorship component and a series of lunch sessions that continue the engagement process well into the employee's first year in the job.
